Family Medicine Residency of Idaho has served Idaho and the Intermountain West since 1974 as one of two Idaho's family medicine residency programs. In 2007 Family Medicine Residency of Idaho joined the network of Idaho's Community Health Centers with designation as a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike serving patients in the Boise, Idaho area with family medicine health care services.
The mission of Family Medicine Residency of Idaho is three-fold:
1. Train medical school graduates to become physicians;
2. Prepare broadly trained family physicians to practice in rural Idaho;
3. Serve the underserved.
